Dear Ambassador Swindells,

The U.S. government seems determined to wage war upon Iraq rather than seek other solutions to the problem of Saddam Hussein. Your government also seems determined to act as some sort of world policeman, using its economic and military strength to bully other nations.

In the light of U.S. behaviour, I would like to inform you that I am boycotting U.S. brands, and I will attempt to persuade others to do the same. This is not intended, nor should it be interpreted, as simply anti-Americanism, but as a message to your government that it must begin to treat the rest of the world, and its own citizens as well, with respect.
